Odette Clarke

Ms. Odette Clarke joined the Firm in September 2017 and shortly thereafter was admitted to the Bar in Trinidad and Tobago. As a first class honours graduate, she works as a Commercial Litigation Associate under the direct supervision of Senior Litigation Partner, Mr. Prakash Deonarine.

Prior to embarking on her legal career, Ms. Clarke worked as an Educator in the field of Language, Literature and Communication Studies for ten years and as a result of her experience and acumen in these areas became a member of the Caribbean Examinations Council’s team of examiners. It is no surprise that this background has proven to be an invaluable asset to Ms. Clarke’s ability, together with the guidance of the Senior Partners, to efficaciously formulate and express complex legal issues in both written and oral submissions.

Ms. Clarke’s portfolio mainly entails matters relating to Fédération Internationale Des Ingénieurs-Conseils (FIDIC) where she recently assisted Mr. Deonarine in obtaining twenty-nine judgments in excess of 300 million dollars.

Her portfolio is constantly expanding and includes matters relating to construction contracts, commercial contracts, fraud, trespass to land, defamation, insurance actions, actions for negligence, personal injuries and property damage, among other areas.

Ms. Clarke’s exceptional command of the English language together with her quick wit and interpersonal skills proves to be invaluable to the G&D team and its Corporate Clients.
