Ms. Leela Rajkumar joined the Firm in March 2017 and shortly thereafter, in May 2017 was admitted to the bar in Trinidad and Tobago.

Ms. Rajkumar began her journey in the legal profession at the Firm working under the supervision of both the Senior Partner Litigation, Mr. Prakash Deonarine and Senior Associate, Ms. Susan Moolchan. It is in this fast paced and dynamic legal environment that her skills as an Associate in Corporate Litigation has quickly progressed.

Working closely with Ms. Moolchan, Ms. Rajkumar has benefitted in the development of her litigation skills which supports her daily active management of banking matters. More particularly, she represents some of the country’s largest financial institutions in debt (mortgage) recovery actions. Ms. Rajkumar has gained interminable experience and utilizes her background in finance and law in the active management of the corporate portfolio of the Firm which includes, inter alia; banking matters; commercial contracts; negligence; mortgage actions; debt collection for secured and unsecured debts; enforcement of judgments; recovery of debts for cooperative societies (credit unions); securing judgments for statutory debts and matrimonial matters.

Ms. Rajkumar has also extended her portfolio and represents co-operative societies (credit unions) in their delinquency portfolio.

Ms. Rajkumar’s keen managerial and interpersonal skills makes her a valuable member of the G&D team and allows her to effectively communicate with both her Corporate clients, Opposing Counsel and colleagues.

2011                Certification Associate in Project Management (C.A.P.M) – PMBOK,

2016                LPC Distinction –Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice – Staffordshire

University, United Kingdom.

2017                Admitted to practice as an Attorney-at-Law in Trinidad and Tobago.
